Non-Absorbable Surgical Suture (PA)
Multamid is non-absorbable, sterile, monofilament surgical suture consisting of long-chained aliphatic polymer chains also known as nylon 6 or nylon 6.6. Multamid surgical sutures are coloured indigo and black to increase visibility on tissue. Multamid are also available colourless. Multamid sutures complies with all requirements of American and European Pharmacopeia for non-absorbable sutures.
Multamid sutures are used in general soft tissue coating and bonding of cardiovascular, ophthalmic, or neuro surgical applications. Multamid surgical suture is for single use only.
Multamid sutures are manufactured with or without stainless steel needle, between USP 12/0 – USP 5 range, and with various lengths between 10cm to 150cm.
