Monamid – Non-Absorbable Brain and Neurosurgery Suture is a sterile, non-absorbable monofilament surgical suture composed of long-chain aliphatic polymers (Nylon 6 or Nylon 6.6). Its low tissue reaction and high knot security allow for the safe placement of delicate sutures in neurosurgery. Available in blue or black for increased visibility, Monamid is also available in an undyed version. These properties provide a significant advantage in neurosurgical procedures performed under a microscope.

Monamid sutures, manufactured in specialized sizes and specifications for brain and neurosurgery, are used effectively in cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neurosurgery, as well as general soft tissue applications. Available in a variety of thicknesses from USP 10/0 to USP 2, in lengths from 10 cm to 150 cm, and with stainless steel needles, Monamid stands out for its compliance with American and European Pharmacopeia standards. Its durability and biocompatibility make it a safe choice for surgeons in all delicate procedures involving brain and nerve tissue.
