Polyester (PET)
Polisil – Non-Absorbable Oculoplasty and Orbital surgery suture is a high molecular weight, poly (ethylene teraphthalate) based, non-absorbent, sterile surgical thread obtained from long-chain linear polyesters. Silicone elastomer coated or uncoated to provide a slippery transition to the tissue and increase ease of use. The non-reactive coating gives the yarn a high grip, while its non-absorbable construction enhances physical strength. Polisil yarns, which are painted green and increase visibility, offer reliable adhesion and minimal tissue trauma in sensitive oculoplasty and orbital surgeries. It fully complies with the standards of American Pharmacopoeia (U.S.P.) and European Pharmacopoeia (E.P.).
