Polydioxanone PDO
Polidiox – Absorbable Octoplasty and Orbital surgery suture is a synthetic and absorbable surgical thread with poly (p-dioxanone) basis, polyidioxanone (PDO), monophylated structure. Polyidiox, the empirical molecular formula of the polymer (C₄H₆O₃)x, provides long-term tissue support in oculoplasty and orbital surgery, providing a safe and controlled healing process. It is colored purple (D&C Violet No. 2 C.I. #60725/Solvent Violet 13) for easy identification in the tissue. Polydioxanone polymer, which has a nonantigenic and nonpyrogenic structure, shows a minimal tissue reaction in the absorption process.
