Polyglycolide Lactid Acide (PGLA)
Glikolak – Absorbable Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery Sutures is a synthetic, absorbable and sterile surgical suture synthetized from polyglycolic and lactide. Stripped Glikolak sutures are strengthened with a special coating that ensures problem free and comfortable use. In this coating, the absorption process is optimized by using a mixture of calcium stearate and poly (glycolide/lactide) (30/70 ratio). Natural colorants are preferred in Glycolic sutures, which are painted purple to increase visibility in the surgical field. Produced in 8/0 thickness, different lengths from 30 cm to 150 cm and with stainless steel needle or needle-free options, Glycolak is an ideal choice for surgeons looking for absorbability, flexibility and reliability in oculoplastic and orbital surgeries.
