Monokaprol – Absorbable Neurosurgical Suture is a synthetic, monofilament surgical suture that provides short-term absorption thanks to its poly(glycolide-co-caprolactone)-based structure. Offering high knot security and superior comfort, this suture enables delicate tissue manipulations in neurosurgery. Applicable with minimal tissue trauma, Monokaprol is available in purple (with natural color) and colorless options, providing surgeons with maximum visibility and control during the procedure.

Monokaprol sutures, manufactured in specialized sizes and specifications for neurosurgery, are available in USP 6/0 to USP 2 grades, in lengths ranging from 45 cm to 150 cm, and with various types of stainless steel needles. Offering a 90–120 day absorption period, Monokaprol is widely preferred in neurosurgery, as well as superficial wound closure, plastic and reconstructive surgery, gynecology, urology, and gastrointestinal procedures. Offered with the Boz guarantee, Monokaprol’s high biocompatibility and rapid absorption make it a safe and effective suture solution for neurosurgical procedures.
